REGULAR MEETING LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL MAY 2, 1978. <br /> Mayor Waschak called- the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the follow- <br /> ing Council members present. DiLorenzo, Meier, Caranci , Kilker and <br /> ` DelPizzo. Councilman DiCarlo arrived late. Others present: City Ad- <br /> ministrator Wurl , City Attorney Joss, City Planner Drumm, City Engineer <br /> Jicinsky, City Treasurer Hesson and City Clerk Stahl . <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES Mayor Waschak and Council approved the <br /> minutes of the april 18, 1978, meeting as <br /> presented. <br /> ENCLOSURERS Councilman DiLorenzo moved that the en- <br /> closurers be accepted and brought up <br /> under the proper head of business. Se- <br /> conded by Councilman Caranci . Motion carried= <br /> COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> DECLARATION OF POPPY DAY Mr. Wurl read the proclamation proclaiming <br /> May 12 & 13 as Poppy Day. The American <br /> Legion Auxiliary presented Mayor Waschak <br /> with a poppy corsage for Mrs . Waschak. <br /> PROCLAMATION OF POLICE Mr. Wurl read the proclamation, proclaiming <br /> WEEK the week of May 15, as Police Week. <br /> MUNICIPAL CLERK WEEK Mr. Wurl read the proclamati^n, proclaiming <br /> PROCLAMATION the week of May 15, as Municipal Clerk Week. <br /> SMALL CITIES PROGRAM Mr. Wurl briefed Council on the progress of <br /> PUBLIC HEARING the application for a $300,000 grant. <br /> Mr. Drumm stated that Mr. Chenoweth said <br /> that HUD does not want contingencies as <br /> line items and recommended that the $20,000 <br /> contingency along with $15,000 of the ad- <br /> ministrative fee be put in to the storm <br /> sewer project giving it a total of $160,000. <br /> Mr. Drumm noted the fund break down as follow <br /> $125,000 - Rehab <br /> $160,000 - Storm Sewer Project <br /> $ 15 ,000 - Administration <br /> Councilman DelPizzo stated that he would <br /> like to see the storm sewers placed near the <br /> school property off Griffith Street. <br /> Mr. Drumm stated that HUD wants to keep th <br /> funds within a certain area and get that <br /> area complete instead of spreading the work <br /> over a larger area . <br /> Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. <br /> Mr. Drumm reported that notices was pub- <br /> lished in the local paper. There were <br /> no comments for or against the application. <br /> The public hearing was closed . Councilman <br /> Caranci moved that the Small Cities Pro- <br /> gram be approved with the change of funds <br /> • <br /> MINUTES <br />
