Minutes • page 3 0 May 2, 1978 ORDINANCE 1586 CONTINUED Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. Mr. David Wyatt, property owner stated that he would like to have the area on the east side of Main St. north of Lafayette St. rezoned from R-M to C-N. Mrs. Nadine Lybarger also spoke in favor of the rezoning north of Lafayette St. Mr. Ray Caranci spoke in favor of the ordinance regarding the property on Front Street, the old mill . Under staff comments , Mr. Drumm stated that the reason that the rezoning was voted down on the area Worth of Lafayette St, East side of Main was because more people spoke against it then for it. Councilman DelPizzo voiced his support on the rezoning of the property on Main St. Councilman Caranci stated that he did not like the idea of rezoning and did not feel it should be allowed with a school in that area. Mayor Waschak closed the public hearing and Councilman DiCarlo moved that Ordinance #586 be adopted with the inclusion of the property between Lafayette St. and South Boulder Road, East side .of Main St. , zoning it C-N as recommended by staff. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Roll call . Caranci no, DiLorenzo no, Kicker yes . DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes . Meier yes . Motion carried. ORDINANCE #587 Attorney Joss stated that the ordinance was SECOND READING properly published and does not require a WATER TAP INCREASE public hearing. He then read the ordinance SEWER TAP INCREASE on second reading by title only. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance #587 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Kilker. Roll call vote. DiCarlo no, DelPizzo yes , Meier yes , Caranci yes , Kilker yes , Ditorenzo yes . Motion carried. oRbI?1ANCE #588 Attorney Joss stated that the ordinance was BARBED WIRE FENCES properly published and does not require a SECOND READING public hearing . He then read the ordinance on second reading by title only.
