WEEDS Councilman Carnival reported many wends in the City's open space areas. Administrator wurl reported that he had contacted Acting Director Hioco and re- quested the areas be cut. GRASSHOPPERS Councilman Carnival asked if the City can do anything about the grasshoppers? Administrator Wuri said he Would check with the County to sea what is permitted. He doubted that private property owners would be required to spray. Councilman Carnival requested that Mr. Wurl call Mr. Stan Norris of the Louisview Corp. 333-2255 and inform him what the County permits. FIREMEN SPEEDING Councilman DelPizzo stated the rate of speed that the firemen go thru residential areas is hazardous - especially on Jeffer- son St. Chief Lawman reported emergency vehicles are allowed to go thru residential areas at a higher rate of speed. However, he had spoke with the Fire Chief and they are going to establish some sort of criteria for their response in an emergency situation. Me stated that he has instructed his personnel to not exceed the speed limit in those areas by more than 10 MPH.
