Motion carried <br /> 5-0. <br /> • <br /> ORDINANCE #718 Each member of council had a complete copy <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE CHANGES of Ordinance #718, in addition Attorney <br /> 1ST READING Joss distributed changes - on page 3 <br /> the timing of payments to the State relative <br /> to Social Security - entire sentence omit- <br /> ted, since this is regulated by State. <br /> Next change was on page 5{b) the section <br /> regarding the telephone tax was deleted. <br /> The last suggested change was on page 14 <br /> relating to animals. He then read the <br /> ordinance by title only. <br /> Councilman Meier Distributed an amendment to the ordinance <br /> Amendment to Ord. #718 permitting residents to keep three ducks, <br /> geese, or turkeys in residential areas <br /> as an alternative to chemical control <br /> for grasshoppers. <br /> Mayor Caranci requested that Council have <br /> a discussion and make certain this is <br /> what they wished, so the ordinance would <br /> not have to be published a third time. <br /> Attorney Joss then read the amendment <br /> in its entirety. <br /> Mayor Caranct requested each member of <br /> council make his remarks before a vote <br /> was taken on the amendment. <br /> APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT Councilman Meier moved that amendment 6. 16. 020 <br /> Section B be added to Ordinance #718. Seconded <br /> by Councilman Teuton. Roll Call vote: <br /> Domenico Yes <br /> Fauson Yes <br /> Cummings Yes <br /> Meier Yes <br /> Brown Yes. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> PUBLICATION OF ORD. #718 Councilman Cummings moved that Ordinance #718 <br /> as amended by 6.16.020 Section B be put out <br /> for publication. Seconded by Councilman <br /> Domenico. Question called for. All in favor. <br /> Motion carried 5-0. a, <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF CITY ATTORNEY'S Councilman Fauson moved that the City Attor- <br /> REPORT nay's report be accepted and placed on file. <br /> Seconded by Councilman Domenico.
