Page - 2 -
B. Ordinance #725 - Water Bonds - 2nd Reading.
A copy of this ordinance appeared in the last packet.
We will not duplicate this as it is a thick one.
C. Ordinance #727 - Water Tap Point System - 1st Reading.
Enclosed is a copy of the ordinance. We are requesting
3 minor changes in the tap fees. Section 28. has been
added to clarify that apartments and condominium units
are not to be treated as unattached dwellings. They can
be treated as a whole. In addition, we've made some
changes in the point systems. Under the table of points.
we increased the family unit from 3 to 7; we increased an
automatic washer from % to 1 point, automatic dish washer
from % to 1, bathtub from 1# to 2, and the shower from
1% to 2. These increases are necessary in the point
system to assure that a proper size tap is run into the
individual buildings so that they receive adequate water
service. The point range on a 3/4" tap was reduced from
0 to 35 to 0 to 30. and a 1" tap then is 31 to 60 rather
than the present 36 to 60. The fee on a 1" tap was
increased from $7,380 to $7,800 to equalize the amount
of water available to the charge.
Item 7. City Administrator's Report.
Item 8. Council Comments and Committee Reports.
Item 9. Approval of the bills.
Item 10. Adjournment.
