ORDI_:=.':CE NO. 732 <br /> AN ORDINANCE =.d ENDING THE NATIONAL <br /> ELECTRICAL CC..E, 1981 EDITION, <br /> PREVIOUSLY A:�PTED AS A PART OF <br /> THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Chief Building Inspector has recommended <br /> that certain provisions rela=ive to •wiring methods be added to the <br /> Electrical Code: <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1. Section 15.48. 030 of the Louisville Municipal <br /> Code is hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2. Section 15. 48.030 of the Louisville Municipal <br /> Code is hereby added to incl . the following subsections to <br /> Section 300-4 of the National Electrical Code: . <br /> Section 300-4 Protection Against Physical Damage <br /> (c) All electrical wiring systems installed to Class <br /> A,B,E,H, and I occupancies, as defined in the Uniform Building Code, <br /> as adopted in Chapter 15.04 nf the Municipal Code, shall be of <br /> approved metal or concrete raceway, rigid non-metallic conduit, or <br /> approved multi-outlet assembly. This provision shall apply in all <br /> types of wiring regardless of voltage between conductors, or from <br /> Conductor to ground, if the voltage service is received directly or <br /> indirectly from the building power supply. <br /> (d) All electrical wiring systems installed in Class R, <br /> Division 1 occupancies, as defined in the Uniform Building Code, <br /> as adopted in Chapter 15. 04 of the Municipal Codes, more than two <br /> stories in height or having more than 3,000 square feet of floor <br /> area above the first story, shall be of approved metal or concrete <br /> raceway, rigid non-metallic conduit or approved multi-outlet assembly <br /> throughout. <br /> INTRODUCED, READ AND ORDERED PUBLISHED this ` day of <br /> . 1981. <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> C <br /> City�Cierk E <br />
