- Page 2 -
Item 8, City Administrator's Report
A. Water Truck Award Bids and Lease - Sometime back Council
authorized us to call for bids on a water truck. We have
enclosed the bid tabulation and is in the packet. We
recommend that the bid be awarded to Mountain Truck &
Equipment Company. Also, we have obtained quotes on the
lease cost and recommend the lease be awarded to the low
bidder.
B. Water Rate Rebate - I have discussed that with the City
Attorney and he is preparing a memo that will be distributed
to Council with some thoughts on that and hopefully a
recommendation as to which alternative is most acceptable.
C. Denver Water Board Proposal - Enclosed in the packet is
a proposal from the Denver Water Board. This has been
distributed to all the suburban counties and cities. The
Cities in Boulder County are, Broomfield, Lafayette. and
Louisville. The proposal is changing on a daily basis and
we hope to formalize some kind of recommendation for you
by Tuesday so that Council can take some official action.
It is quite complicated but basically what they are stating
is that if the suburbs are willing to participate in the
cost of environmental impact statement, that Denver would
be willing to share some of what has been developed in terms
of water in their system. Of course our interest would lie
in the expansion of Gross Reservoir. At least in these
early stages it appears that it would be in our best interest
to stay in the ball game to the extent of participating
in the E.I.S. and see what happens. We will have a recommenda-
tion by Tuesday.
Item 9. Council Comments and Committee Reports.
Item 10 . Approval of the bills.
Item 11. Adjournment.
