Ilf 10/5/82 Page -3- Mayor Meier continued the public hearing. Anyone in favor of the 1983 proposed budget. None. Anyone in opposition of the 1983 pro- posed budget. None. Public comments - none. Council comments . Councilman Leary Noted that some of the figures had changed since the last study session relative to the changes in Revenue and City Adminis- trator's budget . He further stated the general fund revenues changed from 1, 709,592 to 1 ,978,607 . Caranci Chief Accountant/explained this was a result of the additional property tax and adding in the transfers. Leary stated that the City Administrator' s budget increased by $76, 000. 00. Chief Accountant Caranci explained this was the 7X that was approved for salaries, and was placed.in the City Administrator's budget until the money is distributed to each de- partment. At that point transfers will be made. - salaries and social security. Councilwoman Morris Noted that almost all the categories were increased by approximately $200.00 Caranci explained this was for education and training that was put back into the budget. Councilwoman Morris noted in the City Clerk's budget there was a difference of $8,000.00 less than the previous figure. Chief Accountant Caranci stated the Word Processor was deleted; this was also the case with the Public Safety Administration budget - $8 , 000. 00 had been deleted. Tri-City Office Councilwoman Morris inquired what the status of the Tri-city Office was. Administrator Wurl advised that he spoke with Mrs. Houston, who talked with one of the County Commissioners and the indication is not to fund it . That they are not going to call on the cities to participate. Morris inquired - what if they do? Do we have any options later if this has been elim- inated at this point . Wurl added that it could be added to the budget at some time.
