. •
Page -2-
Item 9. City Administrator's Report
A. Police Car Acquisition -
Enclosed is a memo from the Chief of Poli regarding the pro-
posed police car acquisition. Our request that council
authorize us to proceed with the acquisition by the State bid
for the police cars requested.
B. Marshall Landfill - Consideration of Alternatives for Remedial
Action.
Enclosed is a copy of a memo that was received from Alex
Arinello, the County Public Works Director, outlining a
little of the history of the Marshall Landill problems and the
alternatives that they have reviewed, which are going to be
considered by the County Commissioners on February 7th. We
are developing our comments relative to alternatives and un-
fortunately I may not have them available to distribute with
the packet. If not , I will try to distribute them on Monday.
Our concerns are that Items 1 and 2 do not address our re-
quirements. They do not provide for pressurizing the system
so that it can operate in tandum with our water treatment
facility.
Item 3. would address our problems; however it does not sat-
isfy the problem with the balance of the agricultural water.
Item 4. is the alternative tat we feel should be adopted
and the funds should come from either E.P.A. or the county
or B.F.I. or a combination of all three. But once again
we will have additional information for you which we can
evaluate; and perhaps add to our recommendation at the meeting
on Tuesday.
C. Enclosed is the material relating to this item. We are
requesting that council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk
to sign the lease and option.
D. Floyd Olson - Enclosed is a map and letter of request as re-
lates to this annexation. Our recommendation is that the
matter be referred to the Planning Commission for their
review and recommendation.
—.*... .a.r. . • '..J t .0 _..,,..1.
