S 4 <br /> 3/1/83 Page -7- <br /> JICIDERY CONSTRUCTION - PAY Director Hioco advised that a phyical in- <br /> ESTIMATE #3 - COMMUNITY spection was made and the work had been <br /> BUILDING completed. Reported that new mortar is <br /> being placed between all the brick, and <br /> the windows on the south and west sides <br /> have been redone. The front and north side <br /> of the building will be repaired next week; <br /> completion within 4-5 weeks. <br /> APPROVAL Councilman Fauson moved, Councilman Ferrara <br /> seconded that Pay estimate #3 to the <br /> Jicinsky Construction Co. be paid in the <br /> amount of $5,400.00. Question called for. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> ASSOCIATED LAND CONSULTANTS Councilmembers had a copy of the letter <br /> STEINBACH ANNEXATION requesting annexation. Recommendation by <br /> staff that the matter be referred to the <br /> Planning Commission for review and recom- <br /> mendation. <br /> Councilman Leary Inquired how tnis would relate to the res- <br /> ervoir project that council is considering. <br /> Administrator Wurl advised the City would be <br /> in competition with whomever Mr. Drumm was <br /> representing. He stated there iiay be a <br /> possibility the City could benefit from <br /> the proposal in terms of acquiring a por- <br /> tion of the property at a far more reason- <br /> able price than anticipated. <br /> Premature Councilman Leary felt that it would be pre- <br /> mature to send this to the Planning Com- <br /> mission withGut council making a decision <br /> on the reservoir expansion. Also , when would <br /> negotiations on the property take place . <br /> Attorney Rautenstraus advised after the <br /> annexation has been referred to the Planning <br /> Commission, then the Planning Commission <br /> public hearing would be held; an agreement <br /> prepared, which is not finalized until the <br /> a short time before the second reading of <br /> the ordinance by council. <br /> Mayor Meier Suggested chat Administrator Wurl set a <br /> date for a study session near the middle <br /> of March on this subject, <br /> Councilman Leary Inquired what the status was of the grant <br /> application for state funds on Harper Lake. <br /> Wurl advised the Water Conservation Fund <br /> had been deleted to supplement the State' s <br /> revenues. There may be another option for <br /> a grant from the Water and Power Authority <br /> for funding. <br />
