Guidelines, was under the impression
they would apply.
Rupp advised that staff never finalized these
for the commercial/industrial zones.
Councilman Leary didn' t feel that some con-
cepts of these guidelines were being addressed
with this proposal, i.e. maintaining the
natural enviornment; felt that larger trees
should be preserved.
Director Rupp stated that there would be one
tree that would have to be removed because of
the location.
Leary also expressed a desire that larger
trees be planted when the landscaping is done.
Director Hioco stated he felt the trees would
be 11 to 2" caliper as they were easier to
maintain, and the larger trees do not carry
a guarantee.
_ouncilman Ferrer Commented it was his understanding that the
trees on the east side of this proposal would
be pine trees so that there would be some
that would have foliage all year round, not
Just deciduous trees. Then
you go through the process of enforcement of
the P.U.D. documents and subdivision agree-
ment. Then an injunction can be sought to
cease his operation.
Dennis Drumm, Representing Wished to clarify the fact that they are
the applicant - Floyd Olson working on an industrial park.
Relative to the pine trees on the east side
of the proposal, it was his understanding
that this would be a mixture of both pine and
deciduous trees, but they would do whatever
the Council preferred.
Regarding the security fence - they did not
propose to place the slats in the fence; felt
that with the landscape screening that is
being proposed the slats would only detract
