Mayor Norbert Meier called the Illreting to order at 7235 p.ARF Roil Call.Cussen-prssex Leary- present, Johnson-present, Pauson-present, Morris-present, Luce-present Meiea-present. Approval of Consent Agenda Johnson Request removal of Item 11-B and Item 11-2. Meier Request removal of Item 11-D and It 4. Morris Number 5, the minutes. Luce Item 11-D -(already deleted.) Councilman Cussen moved that the consent agenda with deletions be approved. All members in favor, motion carried. Approval of Regular Agenda Meier added under item 9, general council items, one item D and 2. S will be water and watering restrictions and E will be building permits. Mayor Meier moved the regular agenda be approved as amended. S]lcond Morris. All members in favor, motion carried. Approval of the Minutes Cauncilmember Morris corrected the minutes of the previous meeting to reflect that on the bottom of page 27 and on the top of page 28, there is something missing. Also a minor detail, but none the less, correction, the recess on page 3 and the recess on page 15 are at the same times ' . Mayor ,!Mier moved that the minutes be approved as corrected. Seconded by Fauson. All members were in favor, motion carried. Public Comments Tom Thompson LDC Mr. Thompson sought a consensus of the council relative to an idea that the LDC has been working with. To promote the down town, banners might be erected on a temporary basis. In essence they would like to put up a slogan type banner. Morris Ms. Morris inquired as to the placement of said banners, what are they for and how long did they intend to have them up. Thompson Mr. Thompson stated that the sights in mind were on South Boulder Road and Main, possibly South Boulder Road and 80th. He noted that it's simply an idea to stimulate thought of the downtown area. As far as the length of the banner, the group is considering a banner approximately 24 to 36 inches wide and the necessary length to go across the intersection safely. Necessary code requirements and height restrictions will be maintained. As far as to the duration of the signs, Mr. Thompson stated about 3 weeks. Morris What type of slogan? Thompson Mould involve the public. Definitely would be quits testeful. 'Mould ould it be possible to approach phis on a trial basis?
