Hundley
informed Council that Planning Commission
recommended this resolution with two conditions:
1) paving the parking lot by December 1 , 1985, and
2) screening fence be located between the cars in
the parking lot and the adjoining residential
areas. In light of the improvements that will be
occurring as a result of a Special Improvements
District, Hundley suggested to Council that there
may some question as to the timing of the
recommended date for the paving of the parking
lot. It would seem appropriate to have the
parking lot paved at the time the improvements are
made to Cannon Street.
Len Lreager , 2422 Evans Avenue, expressed his
desire to have the parking lot paved at the time
those improvements are made to Cannon Street.
However , he also felt that the fact that he only
has a one-year lease would financially burden him
with the above stated conditions if , in fact, his
business say not be located there after a year .
[reager related that total screening of the lot
could present a problem in that protection from
theft would be difficult if street surveillance
could not be conducted easily by the police
department. However, he did agree to aesthetic
screening.
Cussen asked if upon the signing of the lease,
[reager would then stc7 all automotive repairs at
2422 Evans Avenue. [reager responded, "Yes."
3
