particular legal requirement to have a public
hearing but it would be moving away from standard
• procedure if the City didn't have one.
Mayor Fauson moved that Ordinance 9915 be placed
out for publication and a public hearing be set
for Ssptea►ber 16, 1966. Mohr seconded.
Unanimous.
FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION -
RESOLUTION 939 Bundley related that at the August Sth Council
Meeting, Council supported Resolution 939 which
would support a designation study of the North St.
Vrain River for possible designation as wild and
scenic. This notion was approved by Council
contingent upon the City's Water Attorney
verifying that no present or future conflicts with
City water rights purchases and/or judiaations
would occur by the study and possible wild or
scenic river designation. Based upon our consul-
tation with the City Water Attorney, Steve
Williamson, no conflicts exist by supporting this
resolution.
UPDATE ON CAPITAL IMPROVENNNT
PROJECTS Phare addressed Council with updates on several
CIP's taking place throughout the City. The South
Boulder Road Project from Washington to Via Appia
is ready to be paved (the south lanes) and in
approximately a week, traffic will be rerouted to
the south side of the road so that the curb con-
struction can then be completed on the north side.
It will be the end of September before that pro-
ject is completed.
The City's portion of Via Appia is being paved
over the next 2 weeks and should be ready at the
end of the month for traffic. Carnival asked
that the barricade remain in place until the road
is ready for travel. Phare stated that some
landscaping has begun and Public Service will be
installing street lighting as soon as they clear
their backlog, hopefully October.
The easement arrangements for North Louisville
Interceptor Sewer have been identified for the
bidding process. All sassaents will be brought
back to Council for formal action and recording.
The Barper Lake Fencing Project is finished and
looks good.
The Cherry Street and McCamila Avenue intersection
is nearly complete.
•
9
