Petitions were <br /> circulated by Oedipus Inc. to 'show the needs of <br /> the neighborhood" egad 213 people signed the <br /> petitions favoring the retail liquor store and 37 <br /> signed opposing same. Centennial Liquors is to be <br /> located at the Centennial Canter on the corner of <br /> *cC.slin Blvd. and Cherry Street. Proper posting <br /> and notice of the public hearing were established. <br /> Applicant Michael Poe explained that the petitions <br /> proved the need for a retail liquor store at the <br /> location of the Centennial Center and asked <br /> Council to approve the application. <br /> Mayor Pausoo opened the public bearing and asked <br /> for anyone wishing to speak in favor of or in <br /> opposition, to the license application. None. <br /> Mayor Pauson closed the public hearing and called <br /> for a motion. <br /> Mohr moved that the retail liquor license applica- <br /> tion for the Centennial Liquors be approved. <br /> Ssysanaki reoonded: My Roll Call Vote the notion <br /> was approved unanimously. <br /> TAI-CITY ZL*$ - MANS OP LOCATION PQR CLUE► LICENSE - <br /> SST PU*LIC REARING Perris explained that the Tri-City Elks WAS <br /> changing the location of their club to 52S South <br /> Main Street and a requirement of the State <br /> licensing board was for the local licensing board <br /> to hold a public hearing.
