The <br /> nature of the amendments include unanticipated <br /> revenues, expenditures for 1986 projects that <br /> carried over into 1967, 1987 expenditures that <br /> have been delayed to a future year, reduction in <br /> the number of residential building permits, 1986 <br /> fund balance carryover adjustments for various <br /> funds, transfer of Council contingency funds, and <br /> several recommendations for the City's auditors. <br /> The Finance Committee members reviewed the 1987 <br /> budget amendments at their May 19th meeting. <br /> Mayor Fauson moved that Resolution 817 be <br /> published and a public hearing be set for July 7, <br /> 1987. Unanimous. <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEE RLCO1QI NDAlTIONS - REQUESTS FOR <br /> CONTRIBUTIONS Sundley explained that earlier in the year, the <br /> City received three (3) requests for contributions <br /> from the Colorado Tribute to Veterans, the Clean <br /> Air Campaign, and the National League of Cities. <br /> Finance Committee members reviewed each of the <br /> requests for contributions at their May 19th <br /> meeting. <br /> Finance Committee Chairman Szymanski explained to <br /> Council the Committee's recommendations. The <br /> Committee recommends that a separate budget lino- <br /> item be funded in the 1987 Budget with $1,000 and <br /> contributions be considered and funded through <br /> this fund. The three requests for funds in 1986 <br /> were considered by the Finance Committee and they <br /> recommend that the Colorado Veterans receive $200, <br /> the Clean Air Campaign receive $150, and the State <br /> and Local Legal Center receive $150. <br /> Ssyaanski moved that Council approve the Finance <br /> Committee's recommendations that $1,000 from the <br /> Contingency Fund be set aside in a separate line- <br /> item for consideration of requests for contribu- <br /> tion and the three requests as outlined by <br /> Ssyaanski be approved.
