The
nature of the amendments include unanticipated
revenues, expenditures for 1986 projects that
carried over into 1967, 1987 expenditures that
have been delayed to a future year, reduction in
the number of residential building permits, 1986
fund balance carryover adjustments for various
funds, transfer of Council contingency funds, and
several recommendations for the City's auditors.
The Finance Committee members reviewed the 1987
budget amendments at their May 19th meeting.
Mayor Fauson moved that Resolution 817 be
published and a public hearing be set for July 7,
1987. Mohr seconded. Unanimous.
FINANCE COMMITTEE RLCO1QI NDAlTIONS - REQUESTS FOR
CONTRIBUTIONS Sundley explained that earlier in the year, the
City received three (3) requests for contributions
from the Colorado Tribute to Veterans, the Clean
Air Campaign, and the National League of Cities.
Finance Committee members reviewed each of the
requests for contributions at their May 19th
meeting.
Finance Committee Chairman Szymanski explained to
Council the Committee's recommendations. The
Committee recommends that a separate budget lino-
item be funded in the 1987 Budget with $1,000 and
contributions be considered and funded through
this fund. The three requests for funds in 1986
were considered by the Finance Committee and they
recommend that the Colorado Veterans receive $200,
the Clean Air Campaign receive $150, and the State
and Local Legal Center receive $150.
Ssyaanski moved that Council approve the Finance
Committee's recommendations that $1,000 from the
Contingency Fund be set aside in a separate line-
item for consideration of requests for contribu-
tion and the three requests as outlined by
Ssyaanski be approved. Mayor Fauson seconded.
Unanimous.
8
