CITY OF LOUISVILLE
SEPTEMBER 30, 1987 SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
The City Council of the City of Louisville met in Special Session in the
Small Conference Room, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. Mayor Fauson
called the meeting to order at 4:55 p.m. and the following persons were
present:
Councilmembers: Steve Anderson, Bob Szymanski, Alan Scarpella
and Mike Mohr
Staff present: Terry Hundley, City Administrator
Also present: Pam Ferris, City Clerk
Absent: Randy Carnival, Councilman
John Sackett, Councilman
LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR
CENTENNIAL LIQUORS
Mayor Fauson stated that the only item for consideration at this Special
Council Meeting was the renewal of a liquor license for the retail liquor
store, Centennial Liquors, 324 McCaslin Blvd. Notice of the meeting was
posted and all Councilmembers were notified.
Ferris explained that Michael Poe of Centennial Liquors had contacted her on
Tuesday, September 29th, stating that he did not receive the renewal
application generated by the State and only realized today that his license
was about to expire on Monday, October 5th. Council's next regular meeting
is Tuesday, October 6th. If Poe's license does expire, he will have to
reapply for a new license and be unable to operate his business during that
process. Although the responsibility is clearly that of the applicant, Mayor
Fauson agreed to call a Special Meeting to consider this application. Ferris
also explained that there had been no violations or police reports generated
at this establishment for the past year.
Mayor Fauson moved that the application for renewal be granted to Centennial
Liquors. Scarpella seconded. By Roll Call Vote the application was approved
unanimously.
With no further business, Mayor Fauson moved that the Special Meeting be
adjourned. Anderson seconded. The meeting was unanimously adjourned at 5:00
p.a.
1
