<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 976 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 13 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> CONCERNING FEES FOR WATER TAPS AND WATER SERVICE RATES <br /> WHEREAS, the City staff has determined that certain portions <br /> of the Municipal Code concerning water tap fees and rates for <br /> water service should be amended; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has concluded that it is necessary <br /> to amend certain portions of the Municipal Code providing for <br /> fees for water taps and water service rates; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has concluded that the following <br /> amendments are necessary for proper administration of water <br /> service within the city. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADOi <br /> Section l. Sections 13.12.020, 13.12.030, 13.12.040 and <br /> 13.12.090 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed. <br /> Section 2. The following sections are hereby enacted and <br /> added to Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 13.12.020 Tap Fee - Generally <br /> A. No water service shall be furnished to the consumer <br /> until a tap permit has been issued. The city shall provide a <br /> meter, a yoke, a corporation valve, a meter pit, if required, and <br /> all labor involved in installing the corporation valve. The <br /> owner shall be responsible for all excavation, and for installa- <br /> tion of the service from the water main to the structure served. <br /> B. For each unattached dwelling unit, a separate water tap <br /> must be purchased from the city and all required tap fees paid to <br /> the city. Apartment units and condominium units shall not be <br /> treated as an unattached dwelling. <br /> C. The amount of the tap fee for residential units shall <br /> be the amount determined by reference to Tables A & B as set <br /> forth in this chapteri provided that the minimum tap fee paid for <br /> each multifamily unit after payment in full for the first tap <br /> issued shall be sixty percent of the existing charge for a three- <br /> quarter-inch tap. <br /> D. The tap fee for commercial units shall be determined by <br />
