ORDINANCE NO. 976 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 13 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING FEES FOR WATER TAPS AND WATER SERVICE RATES WHEREAS, the City staff has determined that certain portions of the Municipal Code concerning water tap fees and rates for water service should be amended; and WHEREAS, the City Council has concluded that it is necessary to amend certain portions of the Municipal Code providing for fees for water taps and water service rates; and WHEREAS, the City Council has concluded that the following amendments are necessary for proper administration of water service within the city. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADOi Section l. Sections 13.12.020, 13.12.030, 13.12.040 and 13.12.090 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed. Section 2. The following sections are hereby enacted and added to Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code: 13.12.020 Tap Fee - Generally A. No water service shall be furnished to the consumer until a tap permit has been issued. The city shall provide a meter, a yoke, a corporation valve, a meter pit, if required, and all labor involved in installing the corporation valve. The owner shall be responsible for all excavation, and for installa- tion of the service from the water main to the structure served. B. For each unattached dwelling unit, a separate water tap must be purchased from the city and all required tap fees paid to the city. Apartment units and condominium units shall not be treated as an unattached dwelling. C. The amount of the tap fee for residential units shall be the amount determined by reference to Tables A & B as set forth in this chapteri provided that the minimum tap fee paid for each multifamily unit after payment in full for the first tap issued shall be sixty percent of the existing charge for a three- quarter-inch tap.
