ORDINANCE NO. 968 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CERTAIN SECTIONS AND AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS, ALL IN TITLE 15 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE, BY ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE 1988 EDITIONS OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE, THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, AND THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE; AND ESTABLISHING CERTAIN BUILDING PERMIT AND LICENSE FEES WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE. WHEREAS, the City Staff has reviewed the 1988 Editions of the Uniform Building Code, the Uniform Mechanical Code, and the Uniform Plumbing Code, and recommends adoption of the same to the City Councili and WHEREAS, the Ci ty Council of the ci ty of Louisville has determined that said Codes should be adopted as set forth hereini and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that certain permit and license fees relative to construction within the City of Louisville should be amended as set forth herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1. Sections 15.04.010, 15.04.030, 15.04.50, 15.04.060, 15.04.100, 15.04.110, and 15.04.120 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby repealed. Section 2. The following sections are hereby added to the Chapter 15.04, Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code: 15.04.010 ADOPTION There is hereby adopted as a part of the Louisville Municipal Code by reference, the Uniform Building Code, 1988 Edition, as amended herein ("Code"), published by the International Conference of Building Officials, 5360 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California, to have the same force and effect as if set forth herein in every particular. The subject matter of the adopted code includes comprehensive provisions and standards regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, equipping, use, height, area, and maintenance of buildings and structures for the purpose of protecting the pUblic health, safety, and general welfare. Any reference to the Code within this chapter shall be to the 1988 Edition of said Code.
