SIAM° <br /> CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br /> *ATM September 15, 1992 <br /> Nano T: [Mange Order No. 2 - 1992 Street Reconstruction Project <br /> 0AMMIATIMs MIRANTIMMY: 1?ubik Works <br /> •MrrANY: 1a order to more rapidly complete budgeted capital improvements for the Cty HaU <br /> Parking Lot and Trails projects, staff requested quotations from Wesacrn Mobile/Boulder. M you may <br /> be aware, Western Mobile/Boulder is the contractor for the 1992 Street Re onstruvtion/Rcsurfaccng and <br /> Water Main Replacement project. <br /> The quotation for the Parking Lot is based on clearing and grubbing the lot behind the Chamber Office, <br /> disposal of unacceptable material and installing of alley /parking lot paving, curbing and sidewalk The <br /> quotation does sot utilise prices bid in the contract due to lot location and size, working apace, and <br /> rnaterig] quantities. New prices for subgrade preparation, concrete and asphalt construction, and <br /> clearing and grubbing have been submitted and reviewed by staff and found acceptable. The cost for <br /> the construction of the parking lot is 324,30830. The remaining budgeted amount for the parking lot <br /> is estimated at $28.000. <br /> The 1992 Trails project ittc:udes a section of bike path improvement designed to cross the Davidson <br /> Highline Ditch within Hunters Ridge Subdivision. The trail crossing necessitates the ext.nsson of an <br /> existing 34 corrugated pipe within the Davidson Higthline Ditch. The quotation for the installation of <br /> 154' of corrugated piping fitting:, bedding, earthwork, and other miscellaneous items of work has been <br /> reviewed by staff and again found acceptable. The cost for the construction of ditch piping is $13,783. <br /> The remaining budgeted amount for the trails is estimated at $19,000. <br /> if Change Order No. 2 is approved by Council, the Contractor agrees to complete work by October 23, <br /> 1992.
