<br />ORDINANCE NO. 961 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 15 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADOPTING BY <br />REFERENCE THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1987 <br />EDITION. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Building Department of the City of Louisville has <br />reviewed the 1987 National Electrical Code and recommends adop- <br />tion of the same to City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville has deter- <br />mined that said Code should be adopted as set forth herein. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section~. Sections 15.48.010, 15.48.030, 15.48.040, 15.48.050 <br />and 15.48.060 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Section 2.. The following Sections are hereby added to Chapter <br />15.48, Title 15, of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> <br />15.48.010 Adoption. <br /> <br />There is hereby adopted as a part of the Louisville Municipal <br />Code by reference, the National Electrical Code, 1987 Edition, <br />published by the National Fire Protection Association, <br />Batteryroarch Par, Quincy, Massachusetts 02269, to have the same <br />force and effect as if set forth herein in every particular. The <br />subject matter of the adopted code includes the minimum standards <br />relating to the installation of electrical conductors and <br />equipment within or on public and private buildings or other <br />structures, including mobile homes, recreational vehicles, and <br />floating dwelling unitsi and other premises such as yards, <br />carnivals, parking and other lots, and industrial substations. <br />Any reference to the National Electrical Code within this Chapter <br />shall be to the 1987 Edition and not to any previous edition of <br />said Code. <br /> <br />15.48.030 Copies available at office of city clerk <br /> <br />At least three copies of the National Electrical Code, 1987 <br />Edition, as amended, of the National Fire Protection Association, <br />all certified to be true and accurate shall be available for <br />reference by any interested person between the hours of eight <br />a.m. and five p.m. Monday through Friday, holidays excepted, at <br />the office of the city clerk.
