<br />ORDINANCE NO. 953 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 1 OF THE LOUISVILLE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED "ORDINANCES" BY MODIFYING THE <br />REQUIREMENT THAT A PROPOSED ORDINANCE BE READ IN ITS <br />ENTIRETY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the <br />City of Louisville, Colorado, a proposed amendment to ~1.16.010 <br />of the Louisville Municipal Code~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville, <br />Colorado, has determined that the proposed amendment is accep- <br />table and has found it to be in the best interests of the City; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, <br />COLORADO; <br /> <br />Section 1. That ~1.16.010 of the Louisville Municipal Code <br />be amended by addition of a second paragraph. Said section shall <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />A. No ordinance shall be adopted or passed by <br />the city council unless the same has been previously <br />introduced and read at a preceding regular meeting of <br />the council and published in full in a newspaper of <br />general circulation published in the city at least ten <br />days before its passage. After such previous introduc- <br />tion, reading, and publication, the proposed ordinance <br />may be read by title only and again voted upon at a <br />regular meeting of the council. If the ordinance <br />receives the required vote on its second reading, the <br />same shall be duly adopted. <br /> <br />B. Whenever the reading of an ordinance, or of a <br />code which is to be adopted by reference, is required <br />by statute, or by this code, any such requirement shall <br />be deemed to be satisfied if the title of the proposed <br />ordinance is read and the entire text of the proposed <br />ordinance, or of any code which is to be adopted by <br />reference, is submitted in writing to the Council <br />before adoption. <br />
