RESOLUTION NO.8 SER ES 1989 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE FINDING SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE OF AN ANNEXATION PETITION FILED BY MILDRED BUSH, THE COWDREY COMPANY AND SUPERIOR ASSOCIATES LTD, AND INITIATING ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY AND ESTABLISHING A TIME FOR A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE IF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION COMPLIES WITH STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS. WHEREAS. under C.R.S. 31-12-108, the governing body of a municipality must initiate annexation proceedings, find substantial compliance of an annexation petition filed and establish a date, time and place to hold a hearing to determine if the annexation complies with statutory requirements; and, WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Louisville desires to utilize said statute with respect to the annexation of certain property described on Exhibit "A", attached hereto. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado: Section 1. The City Council specifically finds the annexation petition attached to be in substantial compliance with the requirements of C.R.S. 31-12-107 and that the annexation proceedings to annex the property described on Exhibit "A" including rights-of-way of the City are hereby initiated. Section 2. The City Council hereby establishes a public hearing to determine if this annexation complies with Colorado Revised Statutes for April 20, 1989, at 7:30 P.M. at the Louisville City Council Chambers, 749 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to give all notices as required by statute. Section ~ The City Council hereby refers the annexation and zoning request to the Planning Commission.
