PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA

Arlin Lehman, 908 Main Street, Louisville, Colorado, explained that he has been working on a
project for the past year-and-a-half, and after attending some meetings regarding the Downtown
Design Guidelines, he noticed that his project far exceeded what the Design Guidelines recommend.
When he began the process, he assumed that the current fifty-foot height limit and no strict parking
requirements would apply. He has since redesigned the project to provide parking. He is concerned
that Council is rushing to pass a height limitation due to their knowledge of his upcoming project.
He expressed willingness to work with the City, and stated he has redesigned the project three times
in an effort to do so. He encouraged Council to contact him to discuss the matter further, and
distributed copies of his project to Council.

Erik Hartronft, 1021 South Boulder Road, Louisville, Colorado, gave a brief synopsis of a meeting
held this moming to discuss downtown parking proposals. He reported that there were two proposed
plans, and there appears to be support for the permit system Mayor Davidson proposed. He asked
to present the information he has to date at the September 29, 1998, City Council Work Session. He
reviewed the changes made to Arlin Lehman's project regarding architecture and parking. He stated
that the project's parking plan proposes dedicating private land to the City for public parking.

COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE
AGENDA

Mayer thanked the volunteers and staff involved in presenting a very successful and enjoyable Labor
Day weekend celebration.

Levihn extended a special thank-you to Elle Cabbage and stated that she was very complimentary
of staff and the tremendous support they provided.
