I would
like our representative to support this, but I
would also like him to hear what else goes on.
Maybe a motion in something that says we in gener-
al support the idea of the MAC project. This
would leave Councilman Sackett enough room that if
something surprising came up, he could be free to
change his vote or express his opinion of the
issue.
Sackett: If I got there and found out something that would
hurt our ability to do whatever, seems to me that
I could come back to the Council and say I voted
no and tell my reasons for voting that way.
Womack: Even if you decide not to vote in favor of this,
we would still like to know that.
Davidson moved and Sackett seconded, that in general the
Louisville City Council supports the Metro Area Connection Light
Rail Project. To my knowledge we have not received
any revised drafts of the Intergovernmental
Agreement from the Boulder County Attorney and he
did verify that this morning. The current draft
that we have is the one that we reviewed at the
last Council meeting. We did suggest some changes
to that, specifically to the annexation provisions
and we have suggested those to the City of
Broomfield. The changes have been agreed to by
the City of Lafayette and right now we are waiting
for some response from the City of Broomfield.
However, before the Council tonight there is no
revised versions of the agreement.
