NONE <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1045, SERIES 1991 - AMENDING THE LOUISVILLE MUNICI- <br />PAL CODE TO MAKE THE CITY TREASURER POSITION APPOINTIVE RATHER <br />THAN ELECTIVE IF APPROVED BY THE REGISTERED ELECTORS OF LOUIS- <br />VILLE, AND CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION THEREON - 1ST READING - SET <br />FOR PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Griffiths read by title only, Ordinance No. 1045, Series 1991, <br />"An Ordinance making the position of City Treasurer appointive <br />rather than elective if approved by the voters of the City of <br />Louisville, and calling a special election thereon." <br /> <br />Griffiths: I was requested to draft an ordinance to <br />present just for your consideration again; <br />section l. makes the changes to the Municipal <br />Code; section 2. makes those changes depend- <br />ent upon approval by the majority of regis- <br />tered electors at a special election; and <br />section 3. calls a special election to be <br />held on August 6. <br /> <br />Mayor Fauson made the same recommendation as was discussed on <br />Ordinance No. 1044.
