..,1
Hornbostel: I think the room is ok. Is there any way we can have
discussion on donations. We need to set a limit per
organization, what if they come in two or three times a
year. This time we can take it out of the donation fund.
We cannot affect how the Recreation Center runs. I
would like to look at one exception a year so that it
won't get misused. We need to be real protective with
what happens with the Recreation Center.
Fauson: I think that we can do that further in our budget.
While we are doing the budget we could come up with
some type of criteria there. If the donation fund was
depleted and we don't have emergency funds and we
haver a request from some organization that is in dire
need of some assistance that may be we could look
somewhere like the contingency fund to help support it.
I think that at this time a good way to handle this is the
donation fund. I would support this.
Mayor Fauson restated the motion made by Councilman Davidson and seconded by Fauson
to have the $210.00 refunded request from the Fire District taken from the donation fund.
Howard added an amendment to review the issue of all requests for donations and refunds,
and what our policy is concerning passes.
Brand: Informed Council that there has been discussion
regarding a wellness plan and that staff had planned on
presenting this to Council for further discussion.
Mayor Fauson - a motion has been made and seconded. All in favor.
AMENDMENT TO THE RECREATION SERVICE LTD. AGREEMENT
Baysinger explained to Council the requests from Recreational Services, Ltd. to amend
their Personal Services Management Agreement with the City of Louisville who allow RSL
to submit their annual audited financial statement in June of each year. Currently the
agreement states they must be submitted no later than April 1st. Historically RSL receives
them between April 1st and June 1st. RSL would also like to amend their agreement so
that they may submit their annual operating budget each August. They are currently
required to submit this budget in June. Extending this date would enable RSL to compare
full golf seasons as well as witness the effect of new course openings and their impact on
Coal Creek.
Hornbostel: How were the original dates chosen?
5
