-- .
testimony and evidence you may have in support of your
application. Under state law, you must establish that
the Moose Lodge is qualified to hold a club license and
that the inhabitants of the neighborhood -- City of
Louisville -- desire that the license be granted.
Connie Rucker, Spokesperson for Boulder Moose Lodge
Rucker: In the past we had a club in Boulder for almost thirty
years. Our activities there are based on our home office
out of Mooseheart, IL. What we stand for is
Moosehaven, which is an elderly home and we also have
a child city in Mooseheart. We have worked with
MDA; senior citizens, holding dinners and functions;
programs with Boulder Expand Group, athletic events
of mentally disabled people. We do a lot of community
projects. Talking to the people here in Louisville, I
have had no objections for us coming into your city.
I've talked to people through Steinbaugh Hardware;
Eugene Caranci, of Chamber; and several other people
who are not business people, who have asked when we
are going to open. What we would like to do in the
future is to do something for the young people in this
town. There is not a whole lot for the young people to
do.
Fauson: Is there anyone present who has questions of the
applicant? NONE
Do any of the members of the Council have any
questions of the applicant? NONE
Is there anyone else present who wishes to present
testimony on the application? NONE
Seeing none I will now close the public hearing.
Council, I am in need of a motion.
Hornbostel moved that the local licensing authority of the City of Louisville, Colorado,
based on the evidence presented at the public hearing held this December 17, 1991, find
that the applicant is qualified to hold a club license and that the inhabitants of the
neighborhood desire that the license be granted, based on the testimony of the applicant,
and that, based on these findings, the Local Licensing Authority for the City of Louisville,
Colorado, grant approval for the issuance of the license applied for, seconded- by
3
