Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />November 23, 2023 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br />Could engage with GO Electric Colorado to get broader reach. We need to do <br />more than put out fliers. Josh agrees on declaring a climate emergency. He said <br />that in 5 years, we won't have a choice. Todd stated the State will mandate many <br />policies so better to prepare for it and get ahead of it. <br />In summation, Todd stated, that we all want a schedule for the Internal <br />Decarbonization Plan and hold the City accountable. Via Kayla's updates the <br />board can track progress and draft memos if necessary/appropriate. Kayla will <br />share more info about workshops, and publicity about the Decarb plan coming in <br />the new year, after the December stakeholder meeting. <br />Tiffany stated that the Climate Solutions group will be walking in the Parade of <br />Lights, with QR codes to track interest. <br />Josh asked to nail down in the first 2 months what are the best strategies for <br />LSAB to pursue. Dan added that the City should include Economic Vitality in <br />messaging. <br />John stated, City has objectives to "adopt internal policies that establish climate <br />action as a top priority" John likes the neighborhood captain idea.
