Building Code Board of Appeals Reappointments PUBLIC COMMENTS ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA John Buri, 186 W Monarch Court, Louisville, Colorado spoke on behalf of the Centennial Valley Tennis Association. He encouraged Council to approve funds for lights at the Recreation Center tennis courts. He stated that they have surveyed the neighbors for their opinion on the lights. Twenty responses indicated support for the lights, seven opposed, and seven did not respond. The lights would be placed on a timer to go off at a time deemed appropriate by Parks & Recreation staff. He thanked the Parks Department for their maintenance on the tennis courts this year and offered to answer questions for Council. Mayer asked what the cost for the lights would be. Buri replied that Steve Baysinger, Parks & Recreation Director, is currently researching the costs associated with installing court lights. Mayer stated that he felt Council should consider this request for the current year, if possible. Davidson arrived (7:06 p.m.). Rob Scott, 946 Arapahoe Circle, Louisville, Colorado, agreed with Buri. He reported that the adult league membership in the Centennial Valley Tennis Association has tripled in recent years, resulting in over four-hundred matches being played per season. Some of the matches are called due to darkness. Rescheduling these matches is inconvenient and often not possible. He encouraged Council to approve funding for tennis court lights. Eric Slack, 866 W Tamarisk, Louisville, Colorado, agreed with Buri and Scott. He asked Council to consider funding tennis court lights which would allow working adults to enjoy the sport of tennis in the evening. COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Howard stated that he received a letter from a member of the Coal Creek Women's Golf Association expressing her displeasure for the treatment the Association is receiving at the golf course. He instructed staff to look into the matter. Davidson replied that he has instructed the City Administrator to do just that.
