<br />BYLAWS OF THE <br /> <br />GOLF COURSE ADVISORY BOARD <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1 - THE BOARD <br /> <br />Section 1. Introduction. <br /> <br />These Bylaws ("Bylaws") of the Golf Course Advisory Board are adopted pursuant to the <br />authority stated in Resolution No. 15, Series 2010. <br /> <br />Section 2. Office. <br />The office of the Board shall be considered the Louisville City <br />Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville, CO 80027, or such other place in the City of <br />Louisville, Colorado as the City Manager may designate from time to time. <br /> <br />Section 3. Advisory. The Board shall serve in an advisory capacity to City Council <br />on matters of interest to the City Council concerning Coal Creek Golf Course. <br /> <br />Section 4. Goal of the GCAB <br /> <br />Advise the City Council on how best to maximize the value of Coal Creek Golf Course to <br />the City of Louisville and to the golfing community. <br /> <br />Section 5. Objectives. <br /> <br />1. By consultation with relevant parties, understand what the golfing community <br />values; <br />2. By comparison with comparable local golf courses, advise the City Council on <br />how the Coal Creek golfing experience can stay competitive with other local <br />facilities in terms of service and value; <br />3. Based on an objective review of the objectives above, provide accurate advice to <br />the City Council and City staff. <br /> <br />Section 6. Duties as directed by Resolution No. 15 Series 2010 (in <br />Section 2). <br /> <br />1. The Board as part of its primary mission will identify 3-5 municipal "best of <br />breed" golf courses that golfers might consider as alternatives to Coal Creek Golf <br />Course (CCGC). They will gather relevant data on resources, costs, capital <br />improvements plans, funding mechanisms, turf management plans, management <br />philosophies, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Included in this <br />data collection and analyses will be a comparison of offerings, rates and programs <br />and a thorough, comprehensive and complete study of the operating philosophies <br />of these municipal golf courses (and others as appropriate). Based on the <br />knowledge obtained in this process the Board will evaluate various options and <br />create a strategic plan and direction for Coal Creek Golf Course.
