The introductory portion to 1-45-117 (1) (a) (I), <br />Colorado Revised Statutes, is amended to read: <br /> <br />1-45-117. State and political subdivisions - limitations on <br />contributions. (1) (a) (I) No agency, department, board, division, bureau, <br />commission, or council of the state or any political subdivision lh""..vf OF <br />THE STATE shall make any contribution in campaigns involving the <br />nomination, retention, or election of any person to any public office, NOR <br />SHALL ANY SUCH ENTITY MAKE ANY DONATION TO ANY OTHER PERSON FOR <br />THE PURPOSE OF MAKING AN INDEPENDENT EXPENDITURE, nor shall any such <br />entity expend any pttblie moneys from any source, or make any <br />contributions, to urge electors to vote in favor of or against any: <br /> <br />SECTION 9. Appropriation. (1) In addition to any other <br />appropriation, there is hereby appropriated, out of any moneys in the <br />department of state cash fund created in section 24-21-1 04 (3) (b), Colorado <br />Revised Statutes, not otherwise appropriated, to the department of state, for <br />the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2010, the sum of one hundred one thousand <br />six hundred sixty-two dollars ($101,662) cash funds, or so much thereof as <br />may be necessary, for the implementation of this act. <br /> <br />(2) In addition to any other appropriation, there is hereby <br />appropriated to the department of law, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, <br />2010, the sum offour thousand five hundred twenty-two dollars, or so much <br />thereof as may be necessary, for the provision of legal services to the <br />department of state related to the implementation ofthis act.
