cognizant of amendments 60, 61, and 101, as each would have a negative <br />impact on Louisville revenues. <br />Historical Commission <br />Commission members and staff presented an overview of the commission's and <br />museum's accomplishments in 2009, as well as goals and projects for 2010. The <br />commission recommended that council consider the need for additional space to <br />store the museum's collection and at a minimum two full time staff. The <br />commission wanted to open up a dialogue for discussion of funding options for <br />the needs identified. Commission members, staff, council and the public <br />discussed several issues; the use tax, historic preservation tax, and museum <br />best practices. <br />Street Reconstruction <br />Deputy City Manager Items and Future Agenda Items <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m. — Next Meeting July 13, 2010 <br />City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />June 8, 2010 <br />Page 2of2 <br />Craig Duffin presented information about the identification, process, and <br />technology involved in determining a street construction and maintenance <br />program. Duffin also described and explained the reasoning behind the selection <br />of streets for this year's street construction projects. The Public Works <br />department is researching software options that will work with GIS. <br />H. Balser and Council had a brief discussion of the advanced agenda. Council <br />and staff discussed the time sensitive issues for approval of the Northwest <br />Parkway IGA amendment currently being negotiated. Sisk informed members <br />and staff of Boulder County's decision to close the Louisville Social Services <br />branch. Council asked that staff provide presentations on complex agenda items <br />in a study session for discussion and information prior to coming to Council in the <br />regular meetings. Emphasis was made on the importance of continued <br />interaction with the City's Boards and Commissions. <br />
