However, the house appears in <br />the right location on the 1909 Drumm's Wall Map of Louisville, so Bridget Bacon <br />would put the year of construction at 1909. <br />Architect/Builder: Don't know <br />Building Materials: Typical stone foundation, wood construction (pine ship <br />lap siding, cut (shaped, dimensional) cedar shingle, sawn wood ornamentation <br />(brackets, etc), "period typical moldings. <br />Architectural Style: _Folk Victorian / Queen Anne Cottage (I think) typical of <br />Louisville / Boulder area. Typical 19th century sawn wood ornamentation, <br />including sawn cedar shingle siding. <br />Special Fe~tures/Surroundings: <br /> <br />Describe any additions or alterations to the property: <br /> <br />Restoration an.d additions/alterations are onqoinq: <br /> <br />Dormer on south side, 2 dormers on north side, addition to rear of <br />building',"garage in rear (former site of a barn, according to old timers), <br />significa~nt restoration inside (restoration of original windows, installation <br />of period-typical moldings, doors, and door hardware, restoration of <br />plaster, "i'nstallation of wood floors, etc.), exterior finish matches period <br />typical materials and methods. <br /> <br />Remodel is underway, using sawn ornament, including brackets and <br />dimensional cedar shingle, ship lap siding that matches original, restored <br />original qouble hung windows and new double hungs, period typical trim <br />and doors inside and out, use of salvage trim and flooring material from <br />Louisville Thirlaway home (1100 block Grant Street Louisville) that was <br />demolis~ed, and from other local salvage sources. <br /> <br />REFERENCE LIST or SOURCES OF INFORMA TlON <br />(Attach a separate sheet if needed) <br />_Bridget Bacon performed bulk of historical research using newspaper articles, <br />death records,. directories, property records and other sources <br />
