(Includes protection and stabilization) <br />Rehabilitationacknowledges the need to alter or add to a historic property to meet continuing or <br />compatible, new uses while retaining the property’s historic character. <br />Restorationdepicts a property at a particular period of time in its history, while removing evidence of <br />other periods. <br />Reconstructionre-creates vanished or non-surviving portions of the property for interpretive purposes <br />based on documentary and/or physical evidence. <br />The City of Louisville Jefferson Place Subdivision Intensive Level Historical & Architectural Survey <br />Project will be a comprehensive historical building survey of the Jefferson Place subdivision, the oldest <br />residential subdivision in Louisville, platted in 1880. The subdivision contains 97 parcels, 87 of which <br />have homes that are over 50 years old, most date from circa 1900. <br />The project will include the completion of an intensive level survey report and the completion of <br />Historical and Architectural Inventory Forms (#1403) for 44 parcels not previously surveyed. In <br />addition, the project will reevaluate 43 surveys completed in 2000 (using Cultural Resource <br />Reevaluation Form #1405) as well as the assessment of each parcel for national, state, and local <br />landmarking and an assessment of the eligibility of the subdivision as a whole as a historic district. <br />The City will contract with a professional historical resources consultant to complete the survey report <br />and forms (#1403 &#1405). All products will be completed in accordance with the Colorado Cultural <br />Resources Survey Manual (2007) and must be in a form acceptable to the SHF, the Colorado Office of <br />Archaeology and Historic Preservation, and the City of Louisville. Only contractors who have <br />successfully completed surveys and who understand the specifics required for this project and the details <br />required for the forms will be considered. <br />For the #1403 forms, the contractor will include all information required, including, but not limited to: <br />Identifying information; <br />Geographic information; <br />Architectural description; <br />Architectural history; <br />Historical Associations; <br />Determination of eligibility for national, state, and local landmarking; <br />Current photographs of each building; <br />For the #1405 forms, the contractor will review and update all information for the 43 surveys completed <br />in 2000 for Jefferson Place.
