McCartney and T. Russ presentedan early staff report of the Takoda project. <br />T. Russ emphasized that this was for information only and not for comment. <br />Parking Requirements and Maximum Floor Area <br />G. McMillan and T. Russ presented information on proposed revisions of the <br />parking regulations. Staff reviewed aspects of their parking study as well as an <br />explanation of the process to calculate traffic patterns and parking spaces. <br />Staff discussed the assumption of levels of activity downtown based on time of <br />day, as well as the impact of the increase of maximum floor area cap (500 <br />square feet) to parking space. McMillan and Russ presented details of a <br />Pedestrian Action Plan that will better match the utilization of varied <br />transportation with development. Council comments include: <br />The Pedestrian Action Plan is a step in the right direction <br />Considering Transit/Alternate transportation justifies the change of <br />maximum floor area to 500 square feet. <br />CAP absorbed with development plan <br />Consider incentives or exemptions for historic preservation <br />CAP should not have exemptions <br />Consider slightly lower than the proposed 475,000 cap <br />City Manager Items and Future Agenda Items <br />Fleming discussed inquires regarding property adjacent to open space. Council <br />and staff discussed ranking of properties, funds, and annual maintenance. <br /> <br />
