He felt this type of housing <br />is in short supply. <br />Dan Nickless, President of Ryland Homes Operations for Colorado, explained Ryland <br />Homes is a great partner for this project. He has worked with Boulder Creek Homesfor <br />the last two years and they work very well together. They are also an Energy Star <br />compliant company and interested in building science. Their floor plans are young <br />family friendly, and appeal to people not drawn to the lifestyle Boulder Creek will attract. <br />He explained they wanted to move from alley loaded garages to front loaded garages to <br />accommodate back yards for play areas for children and pets. They are interested in <br />building quality homes, green builders, and energy efficient. The floor plans are family <br />friendly with back yards. <br />Mr. Brew thanked the City Council and the City Staff for their patience and support. <br />City Attorney Light outlined Staff’s recommendation as follows: Set the second reading <br />of Ordinance No. 1576, Series 2010 for August 3, 2010; continue the public hearing on <br />Resolution No. 42, Series 2010 and the two PowerPoint presentations to August 3, <br />2010. <br />MOTION: Mayor Sisk moved to approve Ordinance No. 1576, Series 2010 on first <br />reading, ordered it published and a public hearing be set for August 3, 2010, seconded <br />by Councilor Muckle.
