Call to Order - Mayor Charles Sisk called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> City Council: Mayor Charles Sisk, Council members: Dave Clabots, <br /> Ron Sackett, Frost Yarnell, Bob Muckle (7:20 p.m.) <br /> Absent: Mayor Pro- Tem Don Brown <br /> Councilmember Sheri Marsella <br /> Staff Present: Bill Simmons, City Manager <br /> Julie Boyd, Deputy City Manager <br /> Patty Leslie, Finance Director <br /> Keith Williams, Recreation & Senior Services Director <br /> Belinda Dogan-Pishner, Administrative Assistant <br /> City Manager Bill Simmons reviewed the memo from City Attorney Sam Light <br /> regarding whether the City of Louisville could place a TABOR ballot question on <br /> the November 2006 ballot. He explained that in order to do so, the City would be <br /> required to pass on first reading an ordinance referring TABOR ballot issues to <br /> the voters no later than the July 18, 2006 Regular City Council meeting. <br /> Patty Leslie, Finance Director, distributed two scenarios for addressing shortfalls <br /> in the General Fund based upon sales tax collections being down $525,000 and <br /> $750,000 from budget for 2006. <br /> New revenue possibilities identified at the June 27,2006 Special Meeting Budget <br /> Session were discussed. <br /> Council agreed to set first reading ordinances on the July 18, 2006 Regular City <br /> Council Meeting agenda to place TABOR questions for use tax and residential <br /> new construction use tax on the November 2006 ballot.
