<br /> City Council <br /> Study Session Summary <br /> March 8. 2005 <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br /> City Manager Items <br /> Julie Boyd provided an update on the activities of the Business Retention & <br /> Development Committee (BRaD). She explained that BRaD recently invited a <br /> group of business representatives from 17 different commercial areas of <br /> Louisville to participate in a 'Business Congress'. The representatives have been <br /> charged with gathering information about the Louisville business climate, <br /> including strengths and opportunities for improvement. To that end, a <br /> questionnaire has been developed and will be distributed by members of the <br /> Business Congress to businesses in their area, requesting their input on how the <br /> City can best support the local business community. <br /> Bill Simmons provided an update on the following: <br /> . City Hall Remodel <br /> . The Town of Superior has extended an invitation to meet with City of <br /> Louisville staff and elected officials to discuss items of mutual interest <br /> . The City received checks from Com cast today in the amount of $50,000 <br /> and $80,000, per the Franchise Agreement <br /> .
