Louisville Resource Conservation Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />8-14-06 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Attachment to Minutes- <br />Expansion of Agenda item <br />Review/Planning – Fall Festival (Labor Day) Zero Waste Event <br />VI. <br />The summary of answers to the following questions, developed by Eco-Cycle and previously <br />sent to Elle, were discussed by Elle Cabbage, with input by the Eco- Cycle Representatives <br />(answers are in italics). In addition volunteers were also discussed (Item 4.0 added below) <br />1.0. General Event Questions <br />1.1. What is the expected attendance at the event? <br />A:15,000+ for Monday morning <br />parade with spill over to the event venue; 1,000 to 2,000 per day Saturday and Sunday; 200 <br />seniors for dinner Friday night. <br />1.2. What are the official hours of the event? <br />A:Friday night 9/1 to Monday/ Labor Day <br />afternoon 9/4: Sat/ Sun/ Monday: 9am to 4 pm <br />1.3. Are there any time that are slower than others (beginning or end of the event)? <br />A: See 1.1. above <br />1.4. How many arts and crafts vendor will be at the event? <br />A:35+/- <br />1.5. Do you have a map of the event you could send us? <br />A. Elle passed out a map of <br />Louisville Community Park showing layout for the event <br />1.6. Will there be a walkthrough of the event site? <br />A: Eco-Cycle will walk through with <br />Mark <br />2.0. Logistics <br />2.1. What will the trash service entail at this event? <br />A: Expected as a Zero Waste Event: <br />have waste collection points (compostible and recyclable (see 3.5 below)); would look to have a <br />backup dumpster delivered on Saturday. <br />2.2. Is their a good location for our [sic; Eco-Cylce] 24 ft. Truck: <br />A: Will look to locate <br />this during the walk through in 1.6. above. <br />3.0. Food Vendor Related Questions <br />3.1. How many contracted food vendors will there be at the event? <br />A: Eight at the time <br />of the meeting – but may be more by time of the event. <br />3.2. Will there be any non-contracted food vendors at the event (booths run by your <br />own organization [sic: Louisville] )? <br />A: none <br />3.3. What are the hours of operation for the food vendors? <br />A: same as the event hours- <br />see answer to 1.2. above <br />3.4. Are the food vendors located in one or two main areas of the event, or are they <br />spread out through the event site?. <br />A: Basically clustered. <br /> <br />
