Planning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />AUGUST 10, 2006 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br /> <br />Barnes explained that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) updates the Flood <br />Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) every few years which requires that City of Louisville update <br />Chapter 17.56 of the Louisville Municipal Code (LMC) with the date that the new maps become <br />effective. He stated that the actual flood plains within the city have not changed.
