Resolution No. 16 <br />Series 2003 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE "CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />POLICE SITE & RECREATION PARK CONCEPT PLAN". <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Louisville has purchased a parcel of land of 15.198 <br />acres, more or less, located at the southeast comer of the intersection of McCaslin <br />Boulevard and Via Appia and legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, Saint Louis Parish <br />Subdivision, City of Louisville, County of Boulder, State of Colorado; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said property was purchased from the Archdiocese of Denver for <br />potential use for public buildings and facilities and other governmental purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the "City of Louisville Police Site & Recreation Park Concept Plan" <br />has been developed, showing a combination of existing facilities and uses including the <br />Recreation/Senior Center, tennis courts, arboretum and inline hockey rink as well as <br />potential future uses including the police/municipal court building, community pool, <br />additional tennis courts, all-purpose field, skate park and associated uses and activities <br />such as playgrounds and parking areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, following a deliberate and public process including public meetings <br />where public comment was received the Louisville City Council has determined it to be <br />in the best interests of the City of Louisville to adopt the attached "City of Louisville <br />Police Site & Recreation Park Concept Plan"; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the "City of Louisville Police Site & Recreation Park Concept <br />Plan" is hereby adopted by the Louisville City Council, and it shall be the intent of the <br />City Council that the property be developed substantially in accordance with the attached <br />plan. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Buffers shall be provided between the subject property and the <br />Cherrywood neighborhood as shall be practicable with approved uses of the property, and <br />no direct vehicular access shall be included from the Cherrywood neighborhood, located <br />directly south of and adjacent to the subject property; and <br /> <br /> <br />
