<br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1111 <br /> Series 1987 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE TO ENTER <br /> INTO THE W470 AUTHORITY INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Louisville, Colorado and certain <br /> other political subdivisions of the State of Colorado have the <br /> authority to acquire, improve, maintain and operate, highways, <br /> roads, interchanges together with related and necessary works <br /> and facilities including all necessary interests in real property <br /> for rights-of-way and easements, all for the benefit of the <br /> public health, safety and welfare; and <br /> WHEREAS, cooperation among the participating government <br /> entities with respect to planning and construction of W470 would <br /> make the most efficient and effective use of the powers and <br /> responsibilities of the participating governments and would serve <br /> the public interest and benefit the health, safety and welfare of <br /> the residents and taxpayers of the government entities and the <br /> State of Colorado; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary and in the <br /> best interest of the City to enter into the proposed <br /> Intergovernmental Agreement concerning the W470 Authority. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> the City of Louisville, Colorado: <br /> Section 1 . The City shall enter into the <br /> Intergovernmental Agreement in substantially the form thereof as <br /> attached to this Resolution and the Mayor is hereby authorized to <br /> execute the Agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> Section 2. The officers, employees and agents of the <br /> City are hereby authorized and directed to take all action <br /> necessary or appropriate to effectuate the provisions of the <br /> Agreement. <br /> Section 3. All actions heretofore taken by the City and <br /> its officers, employees and agents, towards the execution of the <br /> Agreement are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. <br />
