Historical Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> July 21, 2010 <br />Louisville Public Library Meeting Room <br /> 951 Spruce Street <br />6:30 p.m. <br />I. Call to Order <br />: Commission Chair Dan Mellish called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />II. Roll Call: <br />Commission Members Present <br />: Dave Ferguson, Lynn Koglin, Dan Mellish, Sean Moynihan, <br />Sally Burlingame, Brian Chamberlin, Pat Seader, Anne Robinson, Jennifer Strand <br />Commission Members Absent: <br />Dustin Sagrillo, Don Ross, Colleen Vandendriessche, Diane <br />Marino <br />City Representatives Present: <br />Beth Barrett, Director of Library & Museum Services <br />Bridget Bacon, Museum Coordinator <br />Community Member Present <br />: Jean Morgan <br />III. Approval of Agenda: <br /> Members approved the agenda unanimously. <br />IV. Approval of June meeting minutes: <br /> Members approved the minutes unanimously. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: <br /> Jean Morgan distributed copies of a letter <br />that she wrote to City Council about the value of the Historical Museum for Louisville. <br />VI. Treasurer’s Budget: <br /> Dave Ferguson presented the following report for July 2010: <br />Previous Balance $7760.86 <br />Expenses $861.20 <br />Receipts $1226.00 <br />To Checking $384.00 <br />To Savings $842.00 <br />Subtotal $7,283.66 <br />CD $25000.00 <br />Savings $4804.66 <br />Total $37088.32 <br />The Commission approved the Treasurer’s report. <br />VII. Report from the Director of Library and Museum Services: <br /> Beth reported that the Library, <br />like other city departments is in the last stages of preparing budgets. Sometime during the <br />week of Sept. 9-16 is tentative for the Library Commission-Historical Commission meeting. She <br />reviewed the Fair Campaign Practices Act and the requirement that no Commission member <br />take an official stance on campaign issues. As a private citizen members may take a public <br />stance.
