<br /> .. <br /> f <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 894 <br /> Series 1986 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 15 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> CONCERNING ADOPTION OF THE 1985 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM FIRE CODE, <br /> SETTING FORTH CERTAIN STANDARDS RELATED TO FIRE PROTECTION AND <br /> AMENDING THE.SAFETY CODE CONCERNING ELEVATORS AND ESCALATORS <br /> TO THE 1984 EDITION. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Staff and the City Council of the City of <br /> Louisville believes that the Uniform Fire Code, 1985 Edition should <br /> be adopted and certain amendments made with respect to fire safety <br /> specifications within the City of Louisville; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Louisville City Council desires to <br /> adopt said 1985 Code and also adopt the 1984 Safety Code relative to <br /> elevators and escalators. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section l. Sections l5.12.010, l5.l2.020, 15.l2.030, <br /> 15.12.040, l5.l2.050 of the Louisville Municipal Code are hereby <br /> repealed. <br /> Section 2. The following sections are hereby added to <br /> Chapter 15.12, Title 15 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> Section 15.12.010 ADOPTION. Pursuant to Title 3l, Article <br /> 16, Colorado Reivsed Statutes, 1973, as amended, there is adopted as <br /> a part of this code and as the fire code of the city, by reference <br /> thereto, the Uniform Fire Code, 1985 Edition, as published by the <br /> International Conference of Building Officials, 5360 South Workman <br /> Mill Road, Whittier, California, 90601, to have the same force and <br /> effect as if set forth herein in every particular. The subject <br /> matter of the adopted code includes minimum standards relating to the <br /> storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and <br /> devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the use <br /> or occupancy of buildings or premises. In all sections of this <br /> chapter where a reference is made to the Uniform Fire Code, said <br /> reference shall be to the 1985 Edition of said Co d e ~ <br /> 15.12.020 Section 2.101 AMENDED - ADMINISTRATION AND <br /> ENFORECEMENT. Section 2.101 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> Section 2.101 - The City Administrator shall be responsible <br /> for administration and enforcement of this code. <br /> 15.l2.030 APPENDICES ADOPTED.'
