<br /> Section 15.16.040 COPIES AVAILABLE AT OFFICE OF CITY <br /> CLERK. At least three copies of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1985 <br /> Edition, as amended, published by the International Association of <br /> Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, all certified to be true, shall be <br /> available for reference by any interested person between the hours of <br /> eight a.m. and five p. m. , Monday through Friday, holidays excepted. <br /> The plumbing code as finally adopted shall be available for sale to <br /> the public through the office of the city clerk at the moderate <br /> price. <br /> Section 15.l6.050 VIOLATION AND PENALTIES. The fOllowing <br /> penalty clause as contained in the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1985 <br /> Edition, is herewith set forth in full and adopted: <br /> "Title 20.3 The issuance of granting of a permit or <br /> approval of plans and specifications shall not be deemed or construed <br /> to be a permit for, or approval of, any violation, of any of the <br /> provisions of this Code. No permit presuming to give authority to <br /> violate or cancel the provisions of this Code shall be valid, except <br /> insofar as the work or use which it authorized is legal. <br /> "The issuance of granting of a permit or approval of plans <br /> shall not prevent the Administrative Authority from thereafter <br /> requiring the correction of errors in said plans and specifications <br /> or from preventing construction operations carried on thereunder when <br /> in violation of this Code or any other ordinance or from revoking any <br /> certificate of approval when issued in error. <br /> Every permit issued by the Administrative Authority under <br /> the provisions of this Code shall expire by limitation and become <br /> null and void, if the work authorized by such permit is not commenced <br /> within one hundred twenty days (120 ). Before such work can be <br /> recommended, a new permit shall be first obtained, and the fee shall <br /> be one-half the amount required for a new permit for such work, <br /> provided no changes have been for such work; and provided, further, <br /> that such suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one (1) year. " <br /> 15.16.060 SECTION 103 (m) AMENDED - BUILDING DRAIN. <br /> Section 103 (m) of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1985 Edition, shall be <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> "The building drain is that part of the lowest piping of a <br /> drainage system which receives the discharge from soil, waste and <br /> other drainage pipes inside the walls of the building and conveys it <br /> to the building sewer beginning five feet outside the building wall. " <br /> 15.16.070 SECTION 401 ( a ) AMENDED - UNDERGROUND DRAINAGE <br /> PIPING. The following shall be added to Section 401 (a ) of the <br /> Uniform Plumbing Code, 1985 Edition: <br /> "All underground drainage piping within a building shall be <br /> of cast iron to a point of at least five feet outside the exterior <br /> -6 - <br />
