<br /> ORDINANCE NO. 901 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14.12 OF THE <br /> LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE BY SETTING FORTH <br /> RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATIVE TO PUB L I C LAKES <br /> AND RESERVOIRS WITHIN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Louisville has certain bodies of water <br />within the City which are used for recreation facilities; and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that certain rules and regulations <br />be adopted for use of these lakes and other bodies of water. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> Section 1 . The following section is hereby added to <br />Chapter 14.12, Title 14 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> 14.12.050 - USE OF LAKES AND RESERVOIRS <br /> All rules and regulations set forth in this Chapter shall <br />also apply to use of such facilities as public lakes, reservoirs or <br />other bodies of water owned by the City of Louisville. In addition, <br />all persons entering such lakes, reservoirs or bodies of water shall <br />abide by the rules and regulations of the City, as provided in this <br />Title and shall abide by the instructions and directions of duly <br />authorized agents, employees or law enforcement officers of the City <br />acting in their line of duty. Also, all such persons shall abide by <br />rules and regulations as set forth by the Department of Community <br />Services of the City of Louisville for use of said facilities. Said <br />rules and regulations shall be posted at such locations as to provide <br />notice to the citizens and members of the public using such <br />facilities. <br /> Section 2 . Insofar as it is necessary to adopt this <br />ordinance immediately in order to provide for the health and safety <br />of the residents of the City who are using such facilities, and <br />because of this ordinance is necessary to the immediate preservation <br />of the public health or safety of the citizens and persons using such <br />facilities, the provisions of this ordinance shall become effective <br />upon adoption in accordance with Section 31-16-105 of the Colorado <br />Revised Statutes. <br /> ~~~RODUCED' READ AND ORDERED PUBLISHED this ,,~r/v1J day of <br /> , 1986. <br /> ~~ <br /> Mayor <br />
