Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 19, 2010 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />Muckle stated she thought the existing illustration, shown in section b, should be <br />changed to represent the proposed redlines. <br />Stewart and Lewis provided a sketch to McCartney and recommended staff <br />include a similar sketch in the proposed redlines. McCartney agreed. <br />The HPC asked McCartney to bring the proposed diagrams back to the August <br />meeting. <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Plaques <br />McCartney presented the attached memo and discussed the attached invoices. <br /> <br />Koertje recommended Fossil to do the entire project. <br />The Commission stated they would rather have bronze. <br />McCartney stated the bidding companies were having problems with the <br />proposed design. <br />Muckle asked why they were having issues. <br />McCartney stated it was due to the relief elements. <br />Lewis recommended McCartney have Erie Landmark bid on the entire sign. She <br />added Fossil should rebid as well and the entire sign should have one material <br />throughout – either all bronze or all laminate. <br />The Commission asked McCartney to bring back new bid. <br />Update/Discussion/Action – Cemetery landmark application. <br />McCartney stated he would bring the application to the next meeting. <br />Committee Reports <br />Muckle stated she is still working with Tim Domenico and the mine his family <br />owned in Louisville. <br /> <br />Update on Demolition Request – None heard <br /> <br />Items from Commission Members – None heard <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting, August 16, 2010 <br /> <br /> Plaque Prices/Bids - Update <br /> <br /> Language to amend the preservation ordinance to clarify the walls vs. <br />windows discussion – New diagram <br /> <br /> Commercial Incentives <br /> <br /> <br />
