I <br /> <br /> <br />? <br />WHEREAS, the Public Works Department of the City of : <br />Louisville believes that certain amendments should be made to 1 <br />Ordinances cor.cerning the administration, enforcements and . <br />regulations of water service within the City of Louisville; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council believes that it is necessary to I <br />amend sections setting forth water rates for water service within the <br />City in order to meet increased operating and maintenance expenses of <br />the wa~er system; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the following <br />amendments are necessary to regulate and administer water service <br />within the City. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br />Section 1. Sections 13.04.020 (A), 13.04.030 (A), <br />13.04.050, 13.04.060, 13.04.070, 13.04.080 (A), of the Louisville <br />Municipal Code are hereoy repealed. <br /> <br />Se~tion 2, The following sections are hereby added to <br />Chapter 13.04, Title 13 of the Louisville Municipal Code: <br /> <br />13.04.020 (A) - The City Administrator shall appoint the <br />Public Works Director of the City or another qualified person to act <br />as Superintendent of the water works. <br /> <br />13.04.030 (A) - Application for the use of water shall be <br />made to the City at the designated department. The application must <br />be made by the owner or agent of the owner for the property to be <br />benefited and must designate the location of the property and state <br />the purpose for which the water is required. <br /> <br />13.04,071 - Account in Name of Owner. All accounts for <br />water shall be ~ept in the name-of-rhe OWner of the property and not <br />in the name of any tenant, and only the owner or his authorized agent <br />shall be held responsible for payment of water rents; provided that <br />persons holding possession of property under a lease may be supplied <br />on their own account where the City deems it best to keep the account <br />in the name of the lessee. Such account in the name of the Lessee <br />shall not diminish the responsibility of the owner for such water <br />charges. In addition, the City may ~equire a deposit of at least one <br />
