AMENDED AND RESTATED BYLAWS OFTHE <br />LOUISVILLE CULTURAL COUNCIL <br />ARTICLE I <br />The Council <br />Section 1. Introduction.These Amended and Restated Bylaws(“Bylaws”)of the <br />Louisville Cultural Council are adopted pursuant to the authority stated in Resolution <br />No. 10, Series 1989, Resolution No. 13, Series 1989, and Resolution No. 29, Series <br />2010. These Bylaws replace any previous Bylaws forLouisville Cultural Council or the <br />Louisville Arts and Humanities Council <br />. <br />Section 2. Office.The office of the Council shallbe considered the Louisville <br />Recreation Center,900 West Via Appia, Louisville, CO 80027, or such other place in <br />the City of Louisville, Colorado as the City Manager may designate from time to time. <br />Section 3, Purpose and Duties <br />A. Advisory.Except as otherwise provided by City Charter or Municipal Code, <br />the Council shall be advisory in character. <br />B.Duties.The role of the Council will include, but not be limited to, advising the <br />City Council on matters relating to the local arts community, advising the City Council on <br />other issues as requested by the City Council, and sponsoring local arts and cultural <br />programs. <br />ARTICLE II <br />Members <br />Section 1. Number of Members.The Councilshall consist of ten (10)members <br />whom City Council shall appoint. <br />Section 2.Residency Requirement.Members shall be residents of the City at <br />the time of their appointment and at all times while serving on the Council (Louisville <br />Home Rule CharterSection 10-2c). <br />Section 3.City Employees.Members may not be employees of the Cityof <br />Louisville at any time during their appointment to the Council. <br />Section 4. Term of Members.Each member shall be appointed for a three-year <br />term.A member’s term of office shall commence January 1and shall expire December <br />31. <br />Page 1of 9 <br />
